Pilotech VMI

The brief

Pilotech installs positive-input ventilation (VMI) in Paris and the Île-de-France. A central unit blows filtered fresh air into the home and pushes damp air out, which suits older buildings where running ducts is difficult. Yet people with damp at home rarely start from the solution. They start from the problem: condensation, black stains on the walls, a damp cellar. The site had to meet them there and lead them to the right unit.

What we did

We built pilotech-vmi.fr as a standalone site, separate from Pilotech’s air conditioning sites. A catalogue presents the range, and each of the seven units has its own page: Pro 1000 for shops, offices and public-access buildings, Cube and Wally for homes short on space, Urban 2 for an installation without major works, Purevent, the connected unit that preheats incoming air, Cave for cellars, basements and garages, and Lofty for houses with attics. Each page shows a real photo of the product, offers its brochure to download and gives Pilotech’s phone number and email for a quote.

Then the content. We added a blog of 21 articles, each built around a concrete problem: condensation in attics in the Île-de-France, black stains and mould in a flat, ventilating a small Paris home, keeping a wine cellar dry, ventilation rules for public-access buildings, financial aid for a Purevent unit. Every article links to the page of the unit suited to the problem it describes.

The site runs on Jekyll, with a generated sitemap and feed. Each article has its own title, description, canonical address, Open Graph tags and cover image.

The result

Pilotech’s ventilation work now has its own address. A visitor with a damp problem can read the article that explains it, move on to the unit that suits their home or premises, download its brochure, then call or email Pilotech for a quote.
